Welcome to Urban24News, your trusted source for comprehensive journalism and community reporting. Operating as a formally registered press with Press Registrar General of India, since 2025, we are dedicated to delivering accurate, unbiased, and timely news across both our digital platform and our weekly print newspaper.
Based in Boisar, Urban24News bridges the gap between traditional print journalism and modern digital reporting. Our weekly print edition serves as a staple for in-depth local coverage, while our online portal ensures our readers stay informed on breaking news, current affairs, and urban developments in real-time.
Our Commitment to Journalism
Since our establishment as a registered press in 2025, Urban24News has been dedicated to delivering accurate, unbiased, and impactful journalism. Operating from our Boisar newsdesk, we serve our community through both our weekly print newspaper and our real-time digital portal. Our primary obligation is to the truth and to our readers, ensuring that every story we publish meets the highest standards of journalistic integrity.
Editorial Independence
Urban24News maintains strict editorial independence. Our news coverage, investigations, and editorial decisions are made entirely free from the influence of advertisers, political interests, or internal business operations. While we feature advertisements across our weekly newspaper and digital platform, there is a clear and impenetrable wall between our editorial team and our advertising department. Sponsored content, if any, is always clearly labeled as such to prevent any confusion with our independent reporting.
Fact-Checking Standards
To maintain our credibility and the trust of our readers, Urban24News adheres to a rigorous fact-checking process before any article goes to print or is published online:
- Verification of Sources: Our reporters are required to verify all claims with primary sources, official documents, or on-the-record statements whenever possible. We do not publish rumors or unverified social media speculation as fact.
- Multi-Level Review: Before publication, every major news story undergoes a review by our editorial staff to check for factual accuracy, contextual fairness, and balanced reporting.
- Anonymous Sourcing: We grant anonymity to sources only when they provide crucial information that cannot be obtained otherwise, and only when their life, livelihood, or safety would be put at risk by going on the record. The identity of anonymous sources is always known to our senior editor
- We believe transparency is the foundation of trust. Despite our rigorous fact-checking protocols, errors can occur in the fast-paced environment of daily digital news and weekly print publication. When we make a mistake, we are committed to correcting it swiftly and transparently.
- Digital Corrections: If a factual error is identified in an online article, we will update the story immediately and append a clear “Correction” or “Update” note at the bottom (or top) of the article detailing what was changed and when.
- Print Corrections: Errors published in our weekly newspaper will be addressed in a dedicated corrections section in the subsequent print edition.
- If you spot an error or believe we have published inaccurate information, please alert our editorial team immediately by emailing [Urban24news.press@gmail.com].
